"I am not a number, I'm a person."
On a base level it was simply a very clever action/ adventure series, but it had so many levels that it went much deeper. Like it or hate it the prisoner was the essence of Cult TV and is the reason that pages like this have such a subject to cover. The prisoner laid down a gauntlet when the final episode (Fall Out) was transmitted which has only been picked up Three times since. Firstly by David Lynch's excellent Twin Peaks, then by the rather disappointing Wild Palms and most recently by the superb Nowhere Man. (Which was inspired by the prisoner) If you don't know the basis of the prisoner you can read about it in numerous books or Hundreds of sites across the internet. But as usual I am confining myself to the basics, besides which, Ten people could tell you that the prisoner was about Ten different things. If you have not yet seen this show, I suggest you give it a watch. You won't regret it.
